How do I check my jury reporting status?
Start with your jury summons and the San Diego Superior Court Jury Services page. Use Online Jury Services for your personal juror information. If your summons places you on telephone standby, check the reporting instructions for your courthouse, service date and group number at the times specified by the court.
Have your summons ready
Locate these details before checking:
- Your badge number, also called your Juror Identification Number.
- Your PIN, if required for online access.
- Your group number, if assigned.
- The service date and courthouse listed on your summons.
- Any instructions telling you when to check or call.
Your badge number identifies you individually. Your group number is used to match you with group reporting instructions; the two numbers are not interchangeable.
Use the official online service
Use Online Jury Services to access your juror information. Follow the sign-in prompts using the badge number or Juror Identification Number on your summons, and enter your PIN if requested.
Review your juror information and any instructions provided. If you cannot sign in or do not have the required details, contact Jury Services rather than guessing your identification number.
Check telephone standby instructions
If you are on telephone standby, use the official Telephone Standby page or the recorded reporting line specified for your courthouse. Match the posted instructions to your service week and group number.
Standby instructions generally require checks after 5 p.m., but the first check and service schedule differ by courthouse. Follow the instructions for your division rather than another courthouse’s schedule.
If your group is not required to report that day but remains on standby, continue checking as directed. A notice saying that no jurors must report on a particular date does not necessarily release you for the entire service period.
If your status is unclear
Contact Jury Services if the instructions do not match your summons, you cannot find your group or you receive conflicting information. The court lists 619-844-2800 for its automated jury system and assistance during clerk telephone hours. Check the Jury Locations page for current contact details and hours.
Have your summons available and ask whether you must report, remain on standby or check again at a specified time. If you requested a postponement or excuse, confirm the court’s response rather than assuming the request changed your reporting obligation.
