How do I find my property tax bill online?

Open the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector’s official property tax search and payment system. Choose the search option matching the information you have, enter your parcel number, mailing address or bill number, and review the matching records. You can also reach the system through the Treasurer-Tax Collector homepage.

Choose the correct search option

The payment system provides these search methods:

Information to use when searching for a tax bill
Search option What to enter
Parcel, Supplemental or Escape Bill Number The Assessor Parcel Number (APN), supplemental bill number or escape bill number, following the form’s instructions.
Mailing Address The current mailing address associated with the tax record. This may differ from the property’s street address.
Unsecured Bill Number The four-digit year and six-digit bill number for the unsecured bill.

Use the instructions shown in the current search form. The Assessor’s assessed-value lookup is a separate service; an assessed-value notice is not a tax bill.

Check the matching bill details

Confirm the parcel or bill number, tax year, bill type, installment and amount before selecting a bill for payment.

The search system warns that additional bills may not appear under the search criteria used. Finding one bill does not establish that it is the only bill associated with the property. Supplemental bills are separate from annual bills, so check for any additional bills you have received.

Use prior-year records for historical information

The official Prior-Year Property Tax Records page provides summaries of paid secured taxes as recorded when the tax roll closed on June 30. It excludes unsecured and defaulted taxes and later adjustments.

Use the current search and payment system for current-year, delinquent or defaulted bills. A “record not found” result in the historical tool does not establish that nothing is owed.

If you cannot find your bill

Check the number, selected search option and mailing address. The payment application requires JavaScript. If you still need help, call Tax Collection at 877-829-4732 or use the official contact page. Have your parcel or bill number and property address available.

Ask about a duplicate bill if needed. Do not wait for a replacement bill to check your payment deadline; not receiving a bill does not remove the responsibility to pay on time.
